1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Eterna ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Eterna is a platform that allows users to create encrypted messages (text, video, and audio) that are securely stored and delivered to designated recipients based on a check-in schedule. The Service is designed as a personal communication tool and is not a substitute for legal estate planning.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.
4. Message Content
You retain full ownership of all messages and content you create on Eterna. We do not claim any rights to your content. You are solely responsible for the content of your messages and ensuring they comply with applicable laws.
5. Check-In & Delivery
Eterna will send check-in reminders according to the schedule you configure. If all check-in attempts go unanswered after the grace period you set, your messages will be delivered to the recipients you have designated. It is your responsibility to respond to check-ins if you wish to prevent delivery.
6. Privacy & Security
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All messages are encrypted end-to-end. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Limitations
Eterna is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. Eterna is not a legal document service and does not replace professional estate planning, wills, or trusts.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your messages and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
